Last night’s Art of Breads class was great! We made Italian Bread and Foccaia Bread.. two of my all time favourites!! 🙂
For the Focaccia Bread we had the option of adding flavours to it to anhance it. I decided to create my different flavours of bread in rows. One row had feta cheese, roasted red peppers, garlic and fresh herbs. Another row had bacon, grilled green and red peppers, grilled onions, and garlic. The next row had fresh herbs: basil, thyme, and rosemary. The last row was split in half: one half plain, the other half with grated swiss cheese. The entire bread was brush with olive oil infused with fresh garlic, thyme, rosemary and basil. Yum!
The Italian loaves were baked in traditional stone ovens for that truly rustic taste and texture. You can’t get any better than that! 😉
