In last night’s Sourdough class we made Cheddar & Jalapeno Sourdough, and Garlic & Olive Sourdough. 🙂
Cheddar Jalapeno is a popular North American flavoured sourdough. The sharpness of the cheedar and the pickled jalapeno peppers/chillies pair well with the tart sourdough. The addition of parmesan heightens the “cheesy” flavour. Its important to use strong flavoured cheeses in this bread. The milder, rounded flavour of lactic acid pairs nicely w/ savoury olives and garlic.
The smell alone was fantastic. Mmmm…. 😉
